That escalated quickly.......
This is a cinemagraph...FINALLY THE SECOND ONE IS SUCCESSFULLY ON MY BLOG! Now I can rest in peace. The first one is just of me sitting there, casually defying gravity. The ball is moving while the rest of the picture is completely still. I liked this idea because it's just really cool. Also because ideas are hard to come by. The second one is just me intensely practicing witchcraft (or wasting my childhood). The most difficult Part was getting it to loop. I just had to get lucky and find two frames that were really similar.
Stop motion was a very ongoing process with lots of ins and outs involving many chemical compositions. It sucked. I just don't have the patience... or the mental capacity. I can do other methods of filmmaking, but stop motion..... it gets to me. The hardest rule to come up with was the Overlapping action and exaggeration video. We had many problems with this video from brainstorming to actually making it. The easiest to come up with was straight ahead because we could literally have done anything. Now I am required to say what I would have done if I had time to finish.
Secondary action: A guy walking down the street with a boom box(Like the 80s) Timing: The tortoise and the hare, but the hare is slow and the tortoise is fast. Solid drawing: a guy way in the background gets Knocked into the foreground like some kind of decadent dandy. Appeal: applies to the tortoise and the hare as well. Meet Fumanchu Man. The wise and powerful master of Hanzo. He lives an ordinary life, except that his fu manchu is sentient. I first had to brainstorm what I wanted for this character. Unfortunately, my brainstorming page was deleted..... somehow.... (I really don't know how). I then had to go into photoshop and digitally paint him. I started with the face on it's own seperate document. I then painted the rest, and added the head at the end. The face was particularly successful. Especially the shading. The rest could use a tiny bit more work, and I would have liked a background, but I reached the deadline. Oh well.
