As you can probably tell... This one had me struggling for ideas.....
The most difficult part of this was getting on to Tinkercad as many can agree. The rest was very easy, but they were simple tutorials so it shouldn't be very hard. I have worked with more complicated 3d projects on my own before, but those were on blender and very hard to learn. This website is very easy to learn. If I could design anything and 3D print it, I would print an action figure of me.

Im not sure what to put in those blanks. Also it's late because I wasn't able to put it on my blog on Friday due to the Skype call. This is a dog tag with a Mandalorian symbol (symbol of alien race from star wars). As soon as I heard about this project I thought of this symbol... just because..... Any ways the thing I found so successful was the shape of the back piece. This is multiple shapes combined into a whole new one. I also had to find a picture of a simplified version of this symbol because this simplified version would be easier to print. I like it better anyways. There was nothing to difficult about this project but it was a very simple design. I have worked in 3d modeling a little bit before. (If you see this before monday 10/24 then the picture of the 2d design is not up yet. I need to put that up in class).
Kubo and the Two Strings Laika The stop motion was completed using 3D printing. Travis knight was the director. He worked on other Laika projects such as Paranorman and Coraline. This movie was special because of its very large puppets, and it had the first fully 3D printed puppet in any stop motion animation. A lot of things make this interesting for me. I appreciate the style, and it just has very good writing. Personally, as a film maker, I could never make a stop motion animation, but Laika does it really well. |
